Subsequent retakes are $10.00 each. After you have failed any section of the TABE exam 2 times you MUST take a remediation course. You will be required to show proof of remediation prior to retaking the TABE exam again. Courses may be available through DMTC Community Education Program. You are allowed a maximum of 4 opportunities to pass the exam to be eligible for placement on the nursing wait list.
Anyone who must retake a section of the exam must complete their retake within one year. After one year the entire TABE exam must be repeated.
If you have had your name removed from the waitlist for a year or more and you choose to be placed back on the list you will need to repeat the TABE exam.

- When you have successfully completed steps 1, 2, 3, and 4 the Nursing Coordinator will review your file and you will be assigned a number on the waiting list.
