Stained Glass Tools and Supply List
This class is for beginners as well as the advanced students who would like to further perfect their skills.
This class will cover the basics of building a copper foil stained glass window.
We will cover glass cutting, color choices, soldering, copper foil and lead methods of construction.
The first 3 items are the only ones needed for the first class:
- Oil Glass Cutter
- Breaking/Grozing pliers
- Black Sharpie Marker
- 75 to 100 watt Soldering Iron
- Pencil (wooden)
- Work Board (approx. 16 x 16 ceiling tile, plywood, etc. ~ big enough to keep/carry your project on)
- Acid Brush
- Copper Foil 7/32
- 60/40 Solder and Paste Flux
- Favorite colored stain glass pieces for your project.
We will be discussing, demonstrating and practicing aspects of the stained glass process.
We will also be discussing what to look for in tools and supplies.
The school has some tools and supplies for you to use.
